The Acquisitions team is looking for an Acquisitions Associate who will work in a fast-paced environment as a buy-side associate in the single-family residential real estate sector. The candidate will quickly be making investment decisions and will have an ability to make an immediate impact in a fast-growing team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and making decisions to acquire a single family property by tracking the asset through bid, due diligence period and the closing process
  • Preparing and presenting investment memorandums to the Investment Committee
  • Performing asset-level valuations, ROI & IRR analyses for value-add & core asset acquisitions
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating financial models of existing and potential new investments
  • Stress testing investment performance through the scenario and sensitivity analysis by building forecasting models and proforma projections
  • Monitoring real estate trends preparing market analysis memos
  • Reporting on acquisitions in detailed and holistic presentations for senior management
  • Research initial due diligence and market characteristics for potential acquisitions
  • Collect and analyzes data to prepare daily reports to upper management with a snapshot of all acquisitions
  • Work collaboratively across functions to execute initial underwriting of a deal and help move it forward to close

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Ideally focused on Business, Economics,or Real Estate, with 3-5 years of experience
  • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with internal and external professionals
  • Candidate should be extremely detail-oriented and organized with a proven ability to work well in a high-intensity environment to complete tasks quickly and effectively
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks at once
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Expected amount of travel: 10-20%
