Accounts Payable Specialist
We are a 10-year-old, 700+ person, digital health company. Our HQ is located in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco, but we have a significant domestic remote employee population. The Company experienced significant revenue growth and, despite COVID, we expect to continue growing top line and to maintain our recent trend of significant profitability. We are preparing for a year of SOX compliance, growing headcount, Accounts Payable volume increases and thus are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist.
You will report to the Assistant Controller and will be responsible for certain AP and GL functions. In this newly created role, you will manage the AP/Procurement process.
This role can be filled in our San Francisco headquarters OR remotely in the U.S.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Assist with the procurement intake and vendor payments to ensure an accurate Accounts Payable workflow
- Collaborate on our Purchase Order process and education of employee base
- Review vendor-side contracts to ensure optimal business terms and compliance with company policies
- Work closely with external auditors to provide support for annual audit
- Collaborate with various functions of the Dox G&A Team to implement SOX controls
- Drive efficiencies in the financial close and seek out new ways for process improvement
- Assist in special projects and other accounting duties as appropriate
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance
- Experience working in the AP/Procurement Operations function of a public technology company
- 4+ years of accounts payable experience, procurement and GL proficiency
- Superior attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience with process improvement and system implementations
- Hands-on experience in the purchase order process
- Quick learner with ability to multitask, work independently, think critically and problem solve
- Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
- Proficient in Excel
