About the role
This position will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day operational functions for Accounts Payable including, helpdesk operations, invoice hold management, AP aging reviews, invoice corrections and reporting. This position will assist leadership in developing/compiling/analyzing statistical data, identifying trends, formulating conclusions, and preparing reports. This role requires expert skills in analysis, issue resolution, troubleshooting and communication.
What you will be doing

  • Develops, leads, manages, and motivates staff
  • Monitors staff performance and works with employees to implement goals and monitor progress
  • Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency
  • Ensures timely and accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data
  • Develops, implements, and maintains operational procedures for staff
  • Participates in annual audits, and special projects
  • Identifies areas of potential improvement
  • Resolves invoice discrepancies, including match holds and/or tax variances
  • Works as a liaison between accounts payable and purchasing & tax departments
  • Works as a liaison between shared service teams and business units
  • Reviews and approves employee timecards
  • Supports the staff on daily processes and assists with escalations as needed
  • Define and maintain contacts around the globe to support AP processes
  • Provides monthly performance stats for staff
  • Provides monthly invoice aging and hold stats
  • Review and take appropriate action to improve performance, as needed


What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Requires strong management skills
  • Requires strong organizational, team building, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • Requires general business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision, and executive presence
  • Requires extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application in a large, diverse organization
  • Ability to identify, address, and resolve employee related issues
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process related to job tasks
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner including presentations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner
  • Skill in productivity, planning, and workload management
  • Ability to design, document, and implement process improvements
  • Strong system management/control experience
  • Knowledge of international requirements as it relates to Accounts Payable
  • Knowledge of VAT and Withholding Taxes, preferred
