The Accounting Manager will support the VP, Accounting (Controller) by supporting the month end close process and helping to lead a team of A/R, A/P and tax resources to optimize the company’s cash flow and to ensure timely, accurate reporting. This position will provide an opportunity to join a successful, rapidly-growing software company that has partnered with one of the world’s leading private equity investors. The Accounting Manager will have opportunities to develop skills in many different areas, including M&A integration, cash and expense management, international operations, and financial reporting.
Duties
Play a key role in the company’s month-end close process by posting/reviewing journal entries, preparing/reviewing account reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting
Lead a team of direct reports to ensure that all work is completed accurately and on time
Help manage company’s treasury function, including cash disbursements and collections, and work closely with FP&A team to support cash forecasting
Support the financial/accounting integration of acquired companies
Assist with annual financial statement audit process, including statutory audits of foreign subsidiaries
Assist with company’s global tax compliance process, including income, sales, and other taxes
Manage company’s sales tax compliance system (Avalara) and applicable portions of company’s accounting system (NetSuite)
Identify and drive potential process improvements and efficiencies
Assist with other critical projects as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar discipline
Active CPA license or equivalent
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles (corporate or public accounting)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit
Thoroughness and attention to detail
Strong analytical skills
Preferred
Experience with NetSuite and Avalara
Experience working in a global company
