Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the accounting group that performs the general ledger accounting function.
- Reviews monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Reviews general ledger account reconciliations.
- Prepares or reviews account analyses for management and internal/external auditors.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information.
- Assists the Manager of Financial Reporting in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports.
- Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the timely availability of accurate financial information to management.
Minimum Job Requirements:
This job is at a cleared site, candidates must be US persons, which include U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents. Four-year college degree in accounting, or equivalent, plus eight years related experience, preferably in a contracting and/or manufacturing environment. CPA certification or MBA preferred. Public accounting experience as well as experience managing an accounting team desired. Demonstrated success in building and managing effective accounting departments and/or working with public accounting teams. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting requirements. Exposure to foreign currency transactions and consolidations preferred. Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel, management and external auditors. Good oral and written communication skills. Able to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects, and work under deadlines
