Job Description
What you will be doing:
• Leads, develops, manages, motivates and empowers staff, including planning, coaching, recruiting, performance development and mentoring.
• Monitors and manages team performance, implements goals and documents progress.
• Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
• Ensures timely and accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of settlement data.
• Develops, implements and maintains processes, procedures and policies.
• Manages and controls settlement processes, researches problems and works with staff to resolve and identifies preventative controls and measures.
• Develops and maintains service level agreements (SLAs) with internal/external customers.
• Participates in annual audits, including but not limited to, oversight and coordination of audit requests.
• May work with directly with external auditors or other parties to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping.
• Actively participates in business/product changes and other special projects.
• Manages risk and controls effectively.
• Identifies areas of potential improvement.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Typically requires a minimum of seven years of experience in leadership role. Payments industry experience preferred.
• Requires strong management, organizational, team building, coaching, mentoring and employee empowering skills
• Requires strong business, financial management and planning skills, and the ability to share vision and strategic direction in a meaningful way to all levels of employees
• Requires general knowledge of FIS products and services, financial and/or payment solutions technology including systems, applications and banking practices
• Requires the ability to identify, address, and resolve employee related issues
• Requires strong analytical, statistical and problem-solving skills to support and enable employees to find solutions to problems, make the right decisions and act on great ideas
• Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management, employees, clients and public
• Requires the ability to communicate ideas and/or position on a variety of issues, both verbally and in written form, in a clear, concise, organized and professional manner to employees, management, and clients at all levels
• Requires skill in productivity, planning and workload management, while being flexible/adaptable through change and ambiguity
• Requires the ability to design, document, and implement process improvements by challenging the status quo with ideas and solutions
• Requires the ability to work independently, take charge of a project through completion/implementation, and share success and lessons learned to drive ongoing improvement
