About the Job

As Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager, you will collaborate both within the accounting team and cross functionally to drive for best-in-class accounting close, prepare consolidated financial statements, and identify and implement process improvements in the close and reporting process.  In addition, you will research and write critical accounting memos and policies and implement new accounting standards. The ideal candidate should possess excellent collaboration skills and operational experience with the ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fact paced and dynamic environment. 

This role will report to the Senior Director of Accounting.

What you'll do

You’ll be responsible for timely and accurate accounting close in collaboration with other stakeholders, financial reporting, fluxes and variance analysis, review of balance sheet and key income statement account reconciliations, research technical accounting matters and document conclusions in technical memos. In addition, you’ll drive process improvement and refine internal controls.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate accounting close activities
  • Drive continuous people, process, and system improvement 
  • Oversee key accounting areas and review key reconciliations 
  • Ensure account reconciliations are timely, properly prepared and reviewed
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results in accordance with US GAAP and global accounting policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce close time 
  • Conduct technical research and document positions in technical memo
  • Document internal controls and ensure financial controls are adhered to and all procedures are followed in accordance with company's accounting policies.
  • Support financial and statutory audits, as well as any other compliance related requests
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and align on priorities and projects
  • Support tax compliance and planning 
  • Performing other ad-hoc projects as needed.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Strong general ledger, financial reporting, and US GAAP experience
  • Strong problem solving and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and leverage technology to build scalable processes, gain efficiencies, streamline accounting operations
  • CPA is preferred
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years at a public accounting firm and 2 years at private industry
  • Strong working knowledge of NetSuite required
  • Advanced excel skills
