What You’ll Do

We’re looking for an accountant who has an entrepreneurial spirit and wants to work for a company where they can have a voice and an impact, playing a key role in managing the company’s financials and supporting leadership decision making. As a member of the Finance Team, the Junior accountant will have broad exposure to other teams as well as senior management. Tech-savvy individuals who have a passion for automating and streamlining procedures are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Support month-end close process, preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to support a timely close
• Manage and update accounting processes and procedures while finding ways to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Contribute to budget and forecast management by interfacing with leadership team to ensure diligent monitoring and provisioning
• Assist with annual tax filings and reporting deadlines
• Upload and review credit card transactions and ensure employee compliance with company expense policy
• Own and oversee the Accounts Payable process 
• Updates, reconciles, and maintains general ledger accounts
• Completes other ad-hoc accounting requests as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
• Self-starter who looks for ways to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of GAAP
