Do you want to play a role in global commerce as a member of the reporting team at a large multi-national corporation?

Our Real Estate Accounting team is responsible for the external reporting of our reporting portfolios (operating, development and land) and capital deployment activities for Prologis, a large multi-billion dollar global Real Estate Investment Trust listed on the S&P 500. As our Real Estate Accountant, you will collaborate with various members of Deployment, Operations and Accounting teams on capital transactions and other real estate related projects. You will be given the opportunity to interact with various internal teams and should have a strong background in analytics, data analysis, quantitative analysis, great eye for detail, and a strong commitment to process improvement. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter with a doer mentality and a great attitude.

Here’s how to do that:

  • Prepare and analyze financial information and supporting schedules, including our capital deployment activities, for both internal and external reporting in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Record real estate acquisition and disposition transactions
  • Prepare account reconciliations for real estate accounts to assess validity, correctness and appropriateness of balances; preparing adjusting entries when required
  • Calculate and prepare capitalized interest schedules for our global development and land bank, and record related journal entries
  • Comprehend all policies and procedures related to real estate accounting including understanding of internal control systems and monitoring of the related processes
  • Prepare and enter journal entries into the PeopleSoft accounting system in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis of real estate reporting when required
  • Provide recommendations for improving current practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Tell us if you’re ready.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field
  • 2+ years general accounting experience
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word. PeopleSoft General Ledger a plus
  • Familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures within the real estate industry
  • Conscientious, detail-oriented and produces accurate financial results and reports within required deadlines
  • Able to communicate effectively and efficiently with peers, and other teams; provides a high degree of customer service to the field and is cognizant of situations where supervisors need to become involved
  • Display a strong sense of personal accountability to identify and work within required reporting timelines
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the functional and cultural lines of a fast-paced, multinational company

Target base compensation range of: $58,000-$70,000, plus bonus % target to be discussed during initial phone interview.
