POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Analyst is primarily responsible for general accounting, account reconciliation and analysis, preparation of financial statements for Cigna's joint venture entity team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

General accounting & finance responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries
  • Financial statements preparation: balance sheet, income statement, statement of member equity, etc.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: cash, income statement, strategic planning, etc.
  • Manage bank accounts, monitor daily cash receipts and generate wire requests
  • General accounts receivable and payable functions
  • Support financial statement audit requests



Account reconciliation and analysis responsibilities:

  • Bank/cash reconciliation
  • Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations monthly
  • Monitor and analyze budget and forecast variances of revenue and expenses



Administrative functions:

  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting
  • Document departmental policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Actively participate implementation of automated solutions when applicable



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience, CPA preferred.
  • 3-5 years accounting and finance experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and exemplary organizational skills are critical.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Self-starter and team player
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service and relationship building skills.



For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $63,500 - $105,900, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
