Job Summary
Accountant III's are staff professionals who apply specialized knowledge, typically as individual contributors, in assisting management in matters that require special interpretation or expertise. Incumbents utilize their professional (i.e., discipline-specific) and/or institutional knowledge, including theories, practices and techniques, to perform department activities. Incumbents may directly manage no more than 2 employees.
Location: The candidate selected for this role would preferably live in Jacksonville, FL or within a commutable range of Jacksonville, FL. This role currently has flexibility for working remotely, working in office, or a hybrid. Essential Functions
- Performs more complex accounting functions in relationship to general ledger reconciliations, internal/external audits, tax reports/deposits, and financial statements.
- Ensures adherence to financial controls and accounting policies/procedures.
- May provide technical consultative services or provide subject matter expertise on key financial/accounting matters to other areas of the organizations.
- May identify, recommend and implement quality and productivity improvements.
- May provide recurring and ad hoc reports and analyses to appropriate leaders and/or areas within the organization.

What You Must Have:
4+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education. Experience Details:
Related Bachelor's degree required Accounting or Finance

Working understanding of FEP Accounting
