The Opportunity
DAT is seeking a full-time Accountant I to join our Finance & Accounting team in Beaverton, Oregon.
In this role you’ll perform a range of accounting functions, and maintain a range of accounting systems, including month-end close, account reconciliation, administering fixed assets, and more.

Candidate Profile
- Solid understanding of the fundamentals and application of the GAAP rules and regulations.
- Skilled at a wide range of accounting functions.
- Experienced with spreadsheets, and a range of accounting and bookkeeping software.
- Strong attention to detail, customer service skills, negotiation skills, and a sense of urgency.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entries for general ledger accounts.
- Assist in Sales Tax Reconciliation and Payments with Avalara sales tax software.
- Manage fixed assets.
- Participate in the preparation maintenance of a variety of revenue and expense accounts for management review.
- Prepare a range of essential reports
- Support Purchasing.
- Reconcile Cash on a Daily basis
- Support Accounts Payable duties as needed
The Skills and Experience You’ll Need
- At least 2 years of direct experience in corporate accounting.
- Great Plains, Sage FAS, and Avalara experience is highly desired, Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to work effectively and productively as part of a team as well as individually.
- effectively communicate in a professional manner with internal employees, customers, and vendors.
- Strong skills working in MS Office 365 and Google Workspace.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
