The Opportunity

DAT is seeking a full-time Accountant I to join our Finance & Accounting team in Beaverton, Oregon.

In this role you’ll perform a range of accounting functions, and maintain a range of accounting systems, including month-end close, account reconciliation, administering fixed assets, and more.

Candidate Profile

• Solid understanding of the fundamentals and application of the GAAP rules and regulations. 
• Skilled at a wide range of accounting functions.
• Experienced with spreadsheets, and a range of accounting and bookkeeping software.
• Strong attention to detail, customer service skills, negotiation skills, and a sense of urgency. 

What You’ll Do

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entries for general ledger accounts. 
• Assist in Sales Tax Reconciliation and Payments with Avalara sales tax software.
• Manage fixed assets.
• Participate in the preparation maintenance of a variety of revenue and expense accounts for management review.
• Prepare a range of essential reports
• Support Purchasing.
• Reconcile Cash on a Daily basis
• Support Accounts Payable duties as needed

The Skills and Experience You’ll Need

• At least 2 years of direct experience in corporate accounting.
• Great Plains, Sage FAS, and Avalara experience is highly desired, Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to work effectively and productively as part of a team as well as individually.
• effectively communicate in a professional manner with internal employees, customers, and vendors.
• Strong skills working in MS Office 365 and Google Workspace.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
