Position Summary:
The Senior Pricing Manager role will support Instrument and Enterprise Services Division (IES) to develop and implement the division's global pricing strategy. The role is accountable for driving profitable growth through effective price realization and share gains. The candidate is expected to apply pricing expertise and data analytics to bring forward insights and recommendations to business leadership that make a measurable impact on growth objectives. The role will report to the Sr. Director, AIG Pricing, in conjunction with Sr. Director, Sales Excellence and Operations within IES, and will work closely with finance, commercial, product management, and the Global Strategic Pricing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global pricing strategy for IES division; provide subject matter expertise on all pricing related topics
- Review and enhance pricing tools and processes, assess opportunities and risks, and develop plans to make continual improvements
- Lead pricing forecast, improve forecasting model and process, and drive alignment among cross-functional business partners
- Drive discounting discipline across commercial teams; provide regular trainings, workshops, and tracking and review of behavior changes
- Proactively review and optimize pricing approval process and Discount Authority Matrix (DAM) to balance and optimize price realization and commercial efficiency
- Handle pricing reporting and performance reviews with division and functional leadership
- Lead annual price roll and all the off-cycle price update process; align pricing strategy with division's overarching business objectives and facilitate socialization between Commercial and Business Units
- Collaborate with Data Analytics team to build pricing tools, models, and dashboards to empower business to make informed pricing decisions
- Assess and improve promotion review process, working closely with key partners to craft strategic promotions and enable tracking of effectiveness
- Collaborate with IES division key stakeholders, other AIG pricing teams, Corporate Global Strategic Pricing team (GSP) to drive continual process improvements and adopt good practices
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, mathematics, statistics, economics, other related fields, or equivalent experience; An advanced degree in business or science is preferred.
- At least 7+ years of work experience in Pricing, Finance, Marketing, Product Management, Commercial, or related
- Prior experience leading a successful and diverse team in large corporate environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to details
- Strong communication skills, ability to articulate complex business problems reconcile opposing points of view and align with key collaborators
- Proficiency in data tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
- Ability to travel (~20%)
