About LokalIn 2018, we began with a WhatsApp group with a simple hypothesis: people in tier-2/3 towns weren’t really using the internet meaningfully yet. We believed that if we started with local content in their own language, they’d come back every day; once there was a habit and trust, that same space could naturally grow into classifieds and, eventually, something they used for almost everything online.This spark became Lokal. Our first instinct was to put everything in one place & one app - local updates, classifieds, jobs, matrimony and more. It worked, till it stopped working. Users gave us the insight - when one use case outweighs the others, everything else seems like noise. We listened. Like how Craigslist quietly seeded a generation of focused companies & marketplaces, we began unbundling and verticalising.

About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to join our finance team and drive/oversee end-to-end accounting including Revenue & Receivables, Vendor Payables, Reconciliations, Payroll processing, Statutory compliances, Monthly book closures, Audit co-ordination, Financial Due diligences, MIS and Annual Budgeting, and Treasury management,
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures including finalization of books, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
- Manage and review Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), vendor ageing, and payroll-related payments.
- Own statutory compliance including TDS, GST filings, taxes, and audits (statutory/tax/internal).
- Prepare and present monthly MIS, business performance reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to leadership.
- Oversee Revenue, bank and GL reconciliations; ensure accuracy in books and financial records.
- Manage audit coordination with external auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Collaborate with leadership and department heads on cost control, resource planning, and reporting.
- Implement process improvements and automation initiatives for financial operations.
- Ensure timely processing and review of vendor bills, advance adjustments, and vendor reconciliations.
- Supervise a small team of finance executives and guide their professional development.
Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record in audits, MIS, accounts closure, and statutory compliance.
- Strong proficiency in financial reporting, Excel, and ERP tools (Tally/SAP/Zoho/QuickBooks).
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment with hands-on responsibilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.
- Prior experience in a startup, tech, or digital services company is preferred.
