Summary:
This role has responsibility to lead SBU PG&A FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), including associated Aftermarket brands and businesses. The role will direct and/or coordinate all aspects of the PG&A FP&A framework and business planning processes for the SBU’s to inform strong, risk-balanced plans for continued business growth. This includes overseeing and driving the monthly forecast/s, annual budget, annual LRP, and various monthly analysis and reporting processes. The role reports to the Sr. Finance Director and partners closely with the SBU PG&A Category VP’s and the associated business and leadership teams therein.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This position is a key leadership role inside PG&A FP&A and includes building and maintaining critical relationships/cadences with the broader Corporate and wholegoods finance teams.
- Accountable for and manages the financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, business cases, and analysis of all financial aspects of the SBU’s (Offroad, OnRoad and Marine)
- Key member of the business unit finance team providing financial and business support to the global PG&A category and component businesses, by ensuring accuracy of results and reporting of financial metrics
- Drive the core financial processes for SBU PG&A including Annual Budget, Long Range Plan, and Monthly Operating Reviews/Quarterly Forecasts – including compilation, review and presentation and communication of budget, forecast and actual financial reports
- Work closely with PG&A Category and Function VPs to drive the business results, lead the financial interpretation of issues that arise and recommend courses of action for the P&L and balance sheet, maximizing return on investment
- With functional team, facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective financial performance and cost management
- Lead and evaluate performance to the PG&A plan and communicate opportunities in revenue (retail and ship), margin, operating expenses, capital, and inventory – including influencing and optimizing profitable retail and ship strategies as well as pricing and promotional strategies
- Complete complex business modeling and analysis to drive revenue growth, identify operating improvements, deep dive on cost structures and analyze business opportunities/investments (ROI/NPV)
- Collaborate with Business Development on PG&A partnerships and acquisition activity from a financial perspective including integration efforts as opportunities arise
- Integrate with SBU counterparts to optimize financial results and coordinate plans to achieve global PII objectives and goals
- Lead, develop and coach the PG&A FP&A team members. Provide a positive working environment, including strategy, goals, hiring and employee development
- Drive process improvement across FP&A processes including implementation and/or enhancement of tools, systems, and processes
Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA or CPA is preferred
- 8+ years finance/accounting experience in a variety of functions; Manufacturing experience a plus
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships in a complex matrix environment
- Excellent influencing, leadership, communication and people management skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills; Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and execute sound decision making
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives at once
- Demonstrated strong personal drive, initiative, persistence, and accountability
- Business partner, hands-on approach to achieve desired outcomes
- Detailed experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable information and plans
- Significant experience building robust, scalable financial models
- MS Excel experience required; Onestream, Alteryx, and/or related query tools experience a plus
The pay range for Minnesota is $120,000 to $168,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
