Position Overview

The role of the Field Services Project Manager drives the Services team to execute established Field programs, with precision, while aligning them with business initiatives. This position is also responsible for ensuring that all projects are tracked in DBHQ project management software.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

Gather specifications for projects and build workflows, as identified by leadership, in alignment with business initiatives:

  • Prepare, define, and update the project scope of work, financial plan, goals, and deliverables. 
  • Establish project tasks and dependencies 
  • Identify the resource requirements 
  • Establish the project  timelines to be approved by the leadership
  • Assesses and determines project resource needs. Negotiate with leaders to ensure resources are available and meeting project needs
  • Attain a collaborative understanding of overall goals and programs and prioritize accordingly

Using project management tools, track project deliverables and ensure deadlines are met or adjusted (with proper approvals):

  • Track project  deliverables using project management tools
  • Lead the operational, financial, and technological aspects of projects, based on timelines and work plans
  • Track project budget and resource usage (i.e. labor)
  • Identify and assess project risk factors and provide suggestions for mitigation
  • Track, inform, and escalate critical issues to minimize risk factors and roadblocks
  • Prepare testing plans for the project
  • Create communication and cutover plans
  • Assign project tasks based on individual strengths, job responsibilities, and capacity

Provide timely reporting on projects and programs in progress and other relevant information to stakeholders, as defined by the department scope:

  • Coordinate with program staff to ensure the successful completion of the project
  • Develops and maintains communication plans including ongoing status reporting, team meetings, vendor correspondence, etc. to establish cordial effective working relationships.
  • Report program progress and other relevant information to leadership and other key stakeholders
  • Communicate thresholds of resources to help teams drive prioritization and effective use of program budget 
  • Strategize with the Sr. Retail Services Manager and Director of Retail Services on the team’s priorities and workload

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA in a related field and 3 additional years in a projects-oriented role, or 5 years of projects-oriented roles, required

  • Process optimization methodologies: Experience with continuous improvement methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.

  • Data analysis: Strong analytical and data-processing skills to track KPIs, forecast needs, and inform decisions.

  • Impeccable organizational skills 

  • Able to prioritize based on the values of the company

  • Must work well with others

  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to effectively map cross-departmental information

Location Requirements: 

This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.

Physical Requirements

  • In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions

    • Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings 

  • Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels

  • Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.  Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds

  • Hearing Requirements: Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.

  • Reading and Writing Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.

  • Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.

  • Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software. 

  • Effective Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.

Compensation:

$80,333.92 - DOE
