Position Summary:
We’re looking for UEFN Designers - creative, technically skilled, and excited to help craft interactive experiences in an expanding creative ecosystem. As a UEFN Designer, you'll collaborate to help build compelling playable experiences using tools like Verse scripting, asset optimization, and modular level design. We're looking for people who are excited by the possibilities of user-generated content (UGC).
This is an Expression of Interest opportunity for freelancers, contractors, and collaborators.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Design and build immersive, interactive maps and environments using UEFN
• Script gameplay logic, events, and systems using Verse
• Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, artists, and creative leads to execute on the project vision
• Optimize assets and levels for smooth, cross-platform performance
• Experiment with layouts, pacing, and modular workflows to support quick iteration

Qualifications & Skills:

• A portfolio or playable samples demonstrating proficiency in UEFN and Verse scripting
• Experience creating polished, engaging experiences—whether narrative, competitive, social, or sandbox
• Comfort working with both art and technical teams to troubleshoot and align visual and gameplay goals
• Strong understanding of optimization best practices for real-time platforms
• Passion for innovative storytelling, UGC ecosystems, and pushing boundaries in new tools
• Experience with 3D modeling tools (Blender, Maya, etc.) is a plus
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 workflows is a plus
• Awareness of Fortnite Creative trends and the broader UGC landscape is a plus
• Comfort with working in a collaborative, experimental development environment
