Talent Acquisition Specialist  - Expression of Interest 

As Bardel continues to grow, we are anticipating bringing on a new member of the Recruitment team. This role could be in either our Vancouver or Montreal studio locations, but must be able to spreak English and French fluently. We are interested in connecting with Talent Acquisition Specialists. See details below. 

This is currently an Expression of Interest.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you really care about people’s experiences. Whether it’s the candidate or the Hiring team, you are always thinking about how to deliver great service; of course, while juggling deadlines and obstacles, pivoting with grace when needed. You take your assignments seriously, reporting back as needed, showing that you are part of a team. In the end, helping people is not just a job, it’s who you are.

What Does Success Look Like? 

  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates for various positions within the organization.   
  • Provide an excellent candidate experience, ensuring a positive recruitment journey.   
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand their requirements, provide regular updates, and deliver qualified candidates promptly.    
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions and talent acquisition needs.   
  • Ensure hires are made by the deadline  
  • Maintain candidate records and documentation throughout the hiring process.   
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Here’s how your application will be evaluated: 

  • With our new studio opening in Montreal, we are looking for someone who is fluent in both French and English 
  • We are working in the animation industry, so having experience recruiting for production-based roles is important. VFX/Animation industry experience will be given priority.  
  • Your social media presence speaks a lot about your interactions with your network 
  • Of course, we are looking for proven experience in managing full-cycle recruitment

  • Managing your hiring targets and deadlines.  
  • Providing exceptional candidate experience and maintain high satisfaction levels among hiring managers.  
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy and compliance in maintaining candidate records and documentation.  
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate clearly and interact effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and team members.  
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate and share knowledge and best practices with other Talent Acquisition Specialists.  
  • Dedication to professional development and staying current with industry trends and best practices.  
  • Creative thinking and the ability to implement innovative sourcing strategies.   
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and recruitment needs.  
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software tools.
