Role Overview:
A professional with 4 to 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable is responsible for managing the
timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and Expense reports, ensuring compliance with
company policies, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires attention to detail,
analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting software to support Invoice, expense and payment
processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and verify vendor invoices and match them with purchase orders.
Process non-PO invoices in line with company policies.
Enter invoice data accurately into the accounting system and reconcile vendor statements and resolve
any payment discrepancies.
Assist vendors and company stakeholders with payment, invoices and queries.
Support internal and external Audit and month end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Manage the Accounts Payable email box and monitor invoices, queries and clear them within the SLA.
Closely work with other department like Accounting, Procurement and stakeholders to meet defined
process SLA’s.
Review, audit, and process employee travel expense reports ensuring compliance with company policies
and regulatory requirements.
Ensure that all expenses are accurately reclassified to the appropriate spend categories, cost centers,
and tracking codes by conducting a detailed analysis of each invoice to establish the true nature of the
expenditure.
Corporate Credit Card transactions and address discrepancies or outstanding charges.
Serve as the primary contact for travel and expense inquiries, providing timely support and clarification.
Verify the bank statements to ensure all transactions are processed successfully.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience of 4 to 5 years in accounts payable and T&E.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes including invoice processing, three-way matching, and
vendor reconciliation.
Hands on experience in India invoice processing with a better understanding of GST and TDS.
Proficiency in accounting software (Workday ERP is an added Advantage) Microsoft Excel and google
Sheet and applications etc.
Strong knowledge of expense report auditing and Processing.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data posting and financial records.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Good communication skills for interacting with employees, vendors, and management.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control procedures.
Ability to train employees and support process improvements in travel and expense process.
Proficiency in Workday and Google applications
Ability to work independently or as a team member.
