In this role you will act as the strategic leader of Executive Scouting at Sandoz, driving the identification, engagement, and acquisition of world-class senior leadership talent to enable business growth, transformation, and long-term competitiveness. Ensure robust executive pipelines across all business-critical functions and geographies, partnering closely with the senior leadership team.

Major Accountabilities

  • Full accountability for shaping and executing the Executive Scouting strategy, ensuring proactive identification of senior external talent aligned with Sandoz’s long-term strategic workforce needs.
  • Build and maintain a global external leadership pipeline, focusing on C-suite, and other critical leadership roles across business units, development, operations, manufacturing, and enabling functions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing market intelligence, competitive benchmarking, and succession insights to inform business and talent decisions.
  • Partner with the SLT and business leaders to define future leadership capabilities and proactively scout diverse, high-caliber candidates globally.
  • Represent Sandoz externally as a thought leader in executive talent, building strong networks with senior executives, search firms, and industry leaders to position Sandoz as an employer of choice.
  • Drive governance and transparency in succession planning, providing the senior stakeholders with clear visibility into external talent pipelines and readiness.
  • Leverage digital platforms, market mapping, and data analytics to track talent pools, improve efficiency, and provide actionable insights.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition CoE, HRBPs, and leadership development teams to ensure seamless alignment between internal succession and external pipelines.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Robust, diverse, and sustainable external pipelines built for all C-suite and business-critical roles.
  • Timely delivery of shortlists of external talent for succession discussions
  • Measurable increase in external-to-internal talent conversion for key leadership roles.
  • Quality of hire metrics at senior levels (impact, retention, performance).
  • Clear governance and reporting on external pipelines

Ideal Background

  • Languages: English fluent; additional languages preferred
    • Extensive experience executive talent acquisition, or senior HR roles in global organizations.
    • Proven track record of building executive pipelines and delivering senior hires in complex, multinational contexts.
    • Deep understanding of global talent markets, leadership assessment, and succession planning.
    • Experience advising senior executives, Boards, or CEOs on leadership and succession.
    • Strong knowledge of pharma industry preferred; experience across multiple industries a plus.
    • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and building global networks.
    • High cultural awareness and ability to operate effectively across regions and cultures.
    • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
