Virtus ETF Solutions (VES), an affiliate of Virtus Investment Partners, operates a multi-manager ETF platform, providing investors access to differentiated investment capabilities from select subadvisors. We are seeking an early career analyst with ETF exposure and product development experience to join our dynamic product development team at Virtus ETF Solutions. This is an opportunity for an exceptional research and analysis professional to make a significant impact on the ETF product line at Virtus. This will be achieved through the introduction of new products that can play a meaningful role in helping investors achieve better risk-adjusted returns.
As the ETF Analyst, you will be responsible for driving the research and analysis supporting the development of new ETF products. You will collaborate with the entire product development process, from conceptualization to launch, and work closely with various internal stakeholders, including product management, legal, portfolio management, and portfolio operations, at each stage of the process. Your analytical skills working with large data sets and manipulating information from Bloomberg & FactSet will be instrumental in this position.

This role will be based in our New York City office.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Assist senior management in execution of the firm’s key projects that support the strategy, product development, strategic partnerships and other initiatives of Virtus’ ETF business.
• Perform ongoing platform gap analysis of the firm’s ETF offerings.
• Collaborate across departments on product positioning and message refinement.
• Monitor and assess activity of competitors leveraging tools such as Bloomberg and/or FactSet.
• Support new product development with an emphasis on hypothesis testing.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in the investment management industry (including internships), with exposure to product development is preferred.
• Understanding of ETFs, asset management, and investment strategies.
  Demonstrated track record of innovation, project analysis, and ability to execute.
• Ability to manipulate and evaluate large data sets.
• Fluency in MS Office suite, with strong experience in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg and/or FactSet.
• Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project analysis skills, with a keen focus on research.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.

The salary range is $75,000 to $92,000.

The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.
