The Opportunity:
The role handles the operational management of the desktop delivery team. You will coach, supervise and support the team to enable them to achieve group and individual goals. You will delegate all levels of work and provide support to the consultancy leads with complex projects, operations and decision making.
The role will involve:
- Developing a long-term view on the team direction and resourcing
- Supporting team members continued professional development
- Goal setting and performance management
- Identifying training and skills gaps
- Conducting monthly 1-2-1’s an annual PDR’s
- Quality control of desktop reporting
- Recommending improvements to business/team operations to ensure optimum efficiency
About You:
The role requires a minimum technical competency of an Environmental Consultant. Ideally you will have completed 2-3 years working in the contaminated land sector and/or flood sector. You will be able to manage and deliver on projects of any complexity to a high standard.
You will also have/be:
- Degree in an Environmental Science of similar
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Ability to understand complex contaminated land and flood consultancy produces
- Enthusiastic, positive and driven
- A proactive approach to improving processes and procedures
- An initiative approach to seeking new business
