Job Description

This is not a support or administrative role - strictly projects with a 20% Project Management, 80% Hands-on technical skill set requirement. You are expected to lead your own projects to completion and report on progress or blockers daily. Projects can be team-based or also individual based. We are looking for highly motivated people with a hunger to learn. A successful candidate will be disciplined in their craft, methodical, and able to drive projects to completion)

Candidates will have a "Hands-On" IT Engineering background (Systems, communications, mobility, connectivity, networking, management platforms) as well as solid networking skills to lead and manage large-scale technical projects. You must also be a thought leader, driven with an ambition to innovate and truly be an engineer. This role will Research, Engineer, Test, Communicate, Deploy the solutions. Then train the Level 1 and Level 2 teams to support.

Will provide leadership in the thought of new ideas, the design, the development, and the execution. You must be hands-on -- and type the commands, create and run the scripts when needed - always with a focus on automation and increasing efficiencies.

This team is responsible for the current solutions used out in the field but will be paving the way with our next generations IT deployments in the following areas:

  • Mobile Device Management (AirWatch, Android, Phones and Tablets)
  • Wi-Fi Service Wireless Connectivity (Services)
  • Workspace/Backoffice systems (Thin Clients, Windows IoT, Google Chromebook, Virtual Desktops)
  • Self Service IVR w Artificial Intelligence (Telephony, Call Centers)
  • Technology that lives in the field
  • The ideal candidate has an engineering specialization in one or more of the above but has adminstrative experience or deep interest in the others

Working cross-functionally with stakeholders such as Copart IT Copart Operations, to build and integrate the next wave of technical solutions to increase operational efficiency, lower cost, and shorten lead times.

  • Develop and maintain a strong professional relationship with our internal customer
  • Lead large technical projects, from inception to hands-on implementation
  • You will strategize, plan, test and manage the deployments of solutions in the organization
  • Responsible for the rate of adoption of new technologies
  • Staying on top of the latest technology that can complement our business

Requirements

Networking

  • Strong IP Telephony Networking experience in deploying, managing and services such as:
    • Strong Mobile, MDM, BYOD -- AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Manager Solution, Certified preferred
    • SIP Protocol, IVR, Asterisk, VoIP, QoS, and other communication stacks
    • Solid understanding of Cisco Routers, Firewalls, Switches, VLANs, Meraki AP Configuration
    • Understanding of Azure AD, Single Sign On, Multi Factor Authentication

Systems/ Mobile

  • Desktops (Dell and Lenovo) Imaging Solutions, Apple Dell Laptops, Mobile Devices

Programming / Automation

  • Bonus points for PowerShell, VBScript, XML, and Complex Excel Formulas, Automation on any platform

Interpersonal

  • Strong communication, Presentation, and solid project management skills
  • Clear Communication, Presentation skills Time management
  • Ability to drive projects autonomously, as well as take input from others to optimize strategy and project flow

Creativity

  • Ingenuity, Innovation skills, and abilities are a must

Leadership

  • Creative Thought Leader
  • Be a very Fast Learner -- Quickly absorb new information
  • Teach, Learn, Inspire
  • Coordinate and monitor team progress

Required Experience:

  • At least 7 years of relevant recent IT Hands on experience
  • 2 Years of experience in implementing / deploying IT solutions and some Project Management Skills
  • Experience delivering business tools and systems in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience in a multi-location (Global) Fast paced environment
