Overview

Works with external customers to resolve electro-mechanical issues and equipment errors on automated material handling systems and related equipment. Performs on-site set-up, programming, and customer training in conjunction with project Go-Live support. Supports external customers via the Service Desk

Responsibilities

  • Works with external customers to resolve electro-mechanical issues and equipment errors on automated material handling systems and related equipment. Performs on-site set-up, programming, and customer training in conjunction with project Go-Live support. Supports external customers via the Service DeskUses advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair minor mechanical and electrical problems
  • Performs PLC troubleshooting, debugging, and programming; ensures messaging between AGC logs, SRM machines, and conveyors
  • Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings
  • Trains internal customers to perform maintenance and repairs (if applicable)
  • Completes detailed reports and other paperwork
  • Follows up on completed work with customers and other departments to ensure resolution



Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Technology, or other related field, or equivalent experience with automated storage and retrieval systems
  • Experience in the mechanical/electronics field
  • Ability to become a subject matter expert in troubleshooting and repairing Daifuku equipment and technologies
    • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Ability to use schematics for troubleshooting, problem-solving and Installation
  • Knowledge of standard (RS232, RS422/RS485, TCP/IP, FTP) and industrial (Profibus, EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNetetc) communication
  • Computer skills including MS Office (QNX, UNIX or Linux is a plus)
  • Knowledge of safe industrial work practices including Lockout-Tagout and OSHA 10
  • Customer service orientation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Team orientation
