CACI seeks a highly collaborative and skilled mid to senior level front end web developer with demonstrated experience creating and maintaining websites. The web developer will also lend UI/UX expertise in concert with an award-winning development team for a public health surveillance system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Executes assignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
- Works with clients to understand and define needs and develop and recommend solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in making documents accessible (e.g., 508 compliant)
- Ability to create and maintain responsive design to ensure web pages render on different device types.
- Designs, writes, and edits website content.
- Maintains a professional understanding of web development by tracking trends and participating in
- Interacts and communicates with end-users, management, vendors, and IT personnel.
- Assist with the preparation of user and administrator documentation
- Use of good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to problems; ability to act independently as well as collaboratively when required and comfortable in an environment that requires multi-tasking and managing multiple competing priorities.
- May create end-user documentation (e.g., user guides, process flow charts, training materials).
- Communicates with colleagues, managers, and stakeholders daily.
- Provides senior management and project management with regular updates on deliverable timelines and project status
Required skills:
- Web page design experience
- 508 Compliance
- Adobe Acrobat Pro
- WordPress skills or other similar content management system
- Common Look other accessibly software
- Experience with web site analytics
- Knowledge of bootstrap
- Understanding of UX/UI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards
- Video management skills: streamed videos need to be uploaded on YouTube through web content management system
- Understand information architecture for building out a site based on subject matter expertise needs
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to write and edit technical documentation
Nice to Have:
Some graphic design experience (Photoshop or use of an image library)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline or relevant certifications
- Must possess 6+ years of development experience with web development
