Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Information Security and Compliance Teams execute security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs. They research attempted efforts to compromise security protocols, maintain security systems for routers and switches, administer security policies to control access to systems, maintain the company's firewall and use applicable encryption methods. TE's Security and Compliance Teams also provide information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information.

The Vulnerability Management Security Engineer has experience implementing and/or supporting an enterprise-wide Vulnerability Management program, including Vulnerability Scanning, Patch Management, and ticketing solutions. They have experience in technology evaluation, platform management, end-user support, and advanced troubleshooting as well as vulnerability analysis and possible pentesting.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and manage TE Connectivity's Vulnerability Management platforms

Vulnerability Analysis and remediation options.

Troubleshoot system and end user Vulnerability Management issues

Develop documentation and training for tier-1 support staff

Automate manual tasks for improved efficiencies

Knowledge to develop and execute complex environmental changes

Participation in disaster recovery planning and practice of recovery operations.

What your background should look like:

Education Required/Desired:

Undergraduate degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, OR other equivalent work experiences.

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience with Vulnerability Management Solutions or Vulnerability Analysis/Exploitation and/or light pentesting.

Experience with Windows/Linux and other various OS flavors, as well as security threats related to various operating systems.

Experience with networking related concepts, topologies, and attacks.

Experience with new technology evaluations, software package selection and buy vs. build analysis.

Understanding of industry security configuration/Vulnerability Management requirements (ex. CIS, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, DFARS, global export control regulations, etc.)

Demonstrated experience with at least one programming/scripting language (python preferred)

Participate in an on-call schedule for high priority issues

Must have technology passion and staying current with emerging security trends.

Excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong Networking Skills

Strong Operating Systems and Application Understanding

Ability to Analyze and Prioritize Vulnerabilities in an Enterprise Environment

Ability to understand enterprise ecosystem and how to minimize the impact of Vulnerability Scanning and Automated Exploitation

NMAP, Port Scanning, Exploit Development, Metasploit a big plus

Experience integrating security/vuln mgmt. solutions with other platforms (like a ticketing system)

Manufacturing and/or engineering industry experience.

Experience working in a global organization.

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $68,000 - $102,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
