Job Description:

Research and prototype novel algorithms for various computer vision and deep learning projects. Conduct research and development in the areas of machine learning (ML), with particular focus on deep learning (DL), computer vision (CV), and Data Analysis. Invent and implement new algorithms or machine learning models for content understanding, computer vision, and media data compression and processing. Spearhead R&D in learning-based and other upcoming media technologies. Design, develop, and implement novel video processing, coding, and quality evaluation algorithms for real-time video to drive towards optimized user experience in the end-to-end meeting system. Work and collaborate with the product team to integrate ideas into Zoom’s products. Optimize the algorithms and models so that they can be efficiently realized on Zoom’s video products. Work with other software architects to define and implement media features and algorithms for future products. Architect and develop high quality software for a media processing pipeline to power extremely low latency applications and experiences. Ensure performance optimization and efficient utilization of hardware resources. Research and evaluate algorithms currently used in related applications. Contribute to existing and future iterations of Zoom’s products by crafting advanced imaging algorithms and forward-looking features. Design new algorithms to tackle new and existing problems. Collaborate with other engineers to build a new and dynamic vision of how to approach new problems. Directly contribute to solving problems by using creative and unique algorithms.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

PhD in Computer Eng., Electrical Eng., or related. Will accept a Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience in lieu of PhD + 0. Skills required – skills gained through industry or academia must include: 1. Programming skills using C, C++, and Python; 2. Video and image processing, including semantic segmentation, object detection, object tracking, and image enhance (traditional method and Deep learning method); 3. Designing and building applications for both Desktop and mobile systems; 4. CNN Network structure optimization and acceleration; and 5. Knowledge of technical concepts in data and video services.
