You will be at the forefront of the shift to remote work. Your team will span dozens of countries and you’ll have the opportunity to lead both local and globally-distributed talent!Your Responsibilities:
Lead efforts to enhance and extend the Upwork Marketplace experience, improving everything from the profile creation and job application experiences to the knowledge graph
Help your teams understand product vision and walk in the customer’s shoes, delivering features that make customer experiences on the Upwork platform more seamless, effective, and efficient.
Work closely with our Data Science team to apply Machine Learning to improve the relevance and ranking of search results.
Drive a high standard of excellence for web service scalability and availability, while also driving high profile efforts on the front-end.
Drive customer growth and retention by making customer interactions easy and effective, identifying platform and feature improvements that contribute to customer interactions
Confirmed development experience leading hard-working distributed engineering teams with multiple streams of work and sophisticated, multi-faceted goals.
Consistent track record of working across team boundaries to deliver fabulous customer experiences across the full stack.
Strong focus on the customer and the business, coupled with a burning desire to learn, respond to feedback, and grow.

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment and lead the parallel development and delivery of features on multiple related product areas.
