About the team:
Walmart Health (WMH) is on a mission to make Healthcare Affordable, Convenient and Accessible. We are the technology arm of WMH focused on building solutions that will enable value-based care and deliver better outcomes at lower cost to our customers.
As a part of the Walmart Health organization, you will be working with emerging technologies to build the platform that democratizes healthcare on the backbone of digital and cloud. The platform will empower our customers to access their personal and family health information and provide tools to live healthier. At the same time, the platform will help improve productivity of our healthcare providers so they can focus on delivering safe and high-quality care at affordable prices.

• Maintaining, applying and sharing knowledge on industry innovations, trends, and practices

• Collaborating with stakeholders on our technology roadmap to turn visions into reality

What you'll bring

• Expertise with designing, developing, and maintaining large scale applications focusing on security, performance, scalability and stability
• Expertise developing cloud-based APIs for internal and external customers
• An understanding of how to work closely with stakeholders to generate requirements and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of our platform

Qualifications

• Strong Experience with MS SQL RDS stored procedures and views
• Experience with C#
• RESTful API design and development with Node.js is a plus but not required
• Experience with S3, Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, and other core AWS technologies is a plus but not required
• Ability to develop, test, and establish performance baseline for all code
• Ability to write high-performing queries, inserts, and any DML needed to support API development
• High level knowledge base of data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design, databases and service-oriented architectures
• Agile / Scrum development methodology
• Excellent documentation habits

• Familiarity with logging/monitoring using tools such as CloudWatch and Datadog
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
• Experience with Azure preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
