Job Description
Walmart's Item & Supply Chain Technology (CSIS) services is responsible for enabling the core services and systems that support our partners to setup catalog at scale to be sold thru various Walmart Selling channels both online and in stores in the eCommerce environment, and to provide a friction-less buying experience for customers with high confidence based on high quality product content. Walmart is investing in transforming these spaces with the latest technology and we are looking for a talented individual who can use their engineering and leadership skills to help our teams solve complex problems. As a contributor of the Item Setup area, and part of integral pipeline, Item Cost Management team, you'll help in design and development of products and platforms in this space. You will be part of the application development team which primarily focuses on software design and implementation, problem solving, leading consistency across our team in quality standards, ensuring everyone adhere to architecture principles, research, and propose creative ideas that allows our teams to solve problems faster and provide engineering efficiency as they work with our customers to deliver world-class software solutions.
Responsibilities:

• Design, and develop large-scale, distributed, complex, cross-functional projects.
• Innovate and drives technical vision and influences product roadmap and vision
• Leads the discovery phase of large projects to develop high level design and subsequent implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups of engineers, including offshore associates.
• Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues
• Develop components and modules that add to the pool of re-usable, and platform capabilities for the UI teams.
• Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
  Supports business objectives and ensures the business needs are being met
• Work on modern technologies to develop maintainable, performant, and elegant features in an Agile, incremental fashion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or related field.
• 5+ years of programming experience:
  
  • Working with large scale, highly scalable & performing applications
  • Developing / architecting high transaction high throughput systems is a must
  • Experience with Open-Source framework and technologies
  • Developing / architecting high transaction high throughput systems is a must
  • Experience in agile ways of working in a distributed geographical model.
  • Experience using Java, Database, NoSQL, Cloud Services & Technologies.
  • Experience with Asynchronous messaging platform such as Kafka.
  • Experience working with large data volume and high transactional throughput.
  • Experience integrating with multiple data pipelines.

Skillsets :
Java, Spring Framework, REST APIs, Kafka, Relational or NoSQL data store, Any JVM Programming Language experience, Cloud Tech stack experience, Experience with alert & monitoring, and observability tools, Linux, git, Github.
Manager's Ideal Candidate Must-Haves

• Excellent communication, timeliness, and a desire to write clean, organized code
• Experience with Java and/or any other JVM Programming languages, preferably Kotlin or Scala.
• Experience with NoSQL database, preferably with Microsoft CosmosDB.
• Experience with Spring Boot Framework, RESTAPIs
• Experience with Native Cloud development stack.
