What you'll do...
Walmart Global Tech (WGT) is the recently formed organizational engine powering the once-in-a-lifetime transformation of Walmart's second act in retail disruption. We are designing and reshaping how Walmart does business in 21st century, building from the storied legacy of our past, but centralizing technology at the core of how we do business in the future.
The GT Strategy and Commercialization team in Walmart plays the central role in the development, management, and expansion of Walmart's global technology footprint. We are a small but influential group of product and technical leaders who shape Walmart's vision of tomorrow into actionable strategies for today. Daily, we partner across all of Walmart's business segment and horizontal technology teams to implement those strategies, drive accountability, and evolve technology's way of working. As the bridge to Walmart's senior executive leadership team and Board of Directors, we are key to unifying and accelerating the Walmart flywheel.
Walmart's GT Strategy and Commercialization team is seeking a seasoned product leader to build a team of like-minded individuals to...

  • Build and evangelize the WGT product and technology strategy, roadmap, activities, and ultimate value in concise and relatable narratives with key Walmart business, product, and finance stakeholders;
  • Enable and accelerate M&A activities by providing clear product and business value analysis, customer and competitive market research to drive innovative solutions with well-defined product requirements that enable Walmart growth;
  • Manage and influence how WGT builds, maintains, and grows strategic relationships with enterprise technology partners maximizing cohesion and building innovation across Walmart's business, engineering, product, procurement, and finance teams;
  • Shape how WGT cross-functionally develops and evolves its way of working with Walmart business and product teams to support future growth.


You'll sweep us off our feet if you:

  • Are a creative, passionate strategic thinker with a proven track record of analytical, data-based decision-making to drive measurable results solving complex challenges;
  • Have built customer-centric products and developed processes with a zealous Lean Startup philosophy;
  • Have technical chops to understand engineering workstreams, challenges, and processes and how to relate them to product and business problems;
  • Demonstrate a history of aligning and delivering buy-in across a wide variety of business operations, product management, and engineering stakeholders by taking complex technical topics and distilling them into relatable, easy-to-understand language;
  • Have a history of leading from the front as a Rockstar people leader building teams and enabling them to achieve beyond what they ever envisioned themselves.


You'll make an impact by:

  • Leveraging your product and technical experience - Analyze and reduce complex, technical topics into core items driving actionable and measurable roadmaps that solve Walmart business problems;
  • Demonstrating strong project management skills - Driving multiple priorities simultaneously across the entire internal and external WGT ecosystems
  • Building mutually beneficial relationships - Using exceptional communication skills and deep technical/product expertise, develop lasting cross-functional relationships across and external to Walmart;
  • Operating with excellence - Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others against tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
  • 10+ years in product management and software development
  • 5+ years building and leading high-performance teams
  • 7+ years leading cross-functional teams in highly complex, technical initiatives
