As a Principal Software Engineer , you'll spend your days translating requirements into architecture design, writing code, collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing us with the insights necessary to think beyond the status quo. You'll oversee large project teams consisting of other engineers who will look to you as a trusted advisor, a subject matter expert who provides guidance and the right tools to get the job done. You'll really wow us if: • Your ability to rise above group think and see beyond the here and now is matched only by your intellectual curiosity.• You come to the table with more than 14 years of experience in Java, Spring boot, CI/CD as well as Agile methodologies.• You are familiar with micro-services architectures and implemented them at a global scale.• You have prior 8+ years of experience working in Java technologies and building APIs for mobile or Web..• You have 10+ years of experience working in high performance, scalable and distributed systems• You have 2+ years of experience working with no sql databases like Cosmos, Cassandra etc.• You have a deep understanding of delivering software on any cloud platform preferred Azure cloud platforms.• You consider yourself to be a student of the world who thrives in an ever-changing environment that holds within it new challenges and chances to prove your expertise.• You level up when you have the opportunity to teach others and empower those around you to excel.
You'll make an impact by: • Executes engineering projects by developing business roadmap in advance; removing barriers to success; ensuring others have the information, training, resources, and implementation time needed to succeed; developing and upgrading work assignments and processes to accomplish goals across functions, organizations, and geographies; reviewing project progress against timeline; and developing and communicating logical, convincing justifications, including lessons learned, to build commitment and support.• Reduces customer impact (for example, sales loss) due to applications systems issues by ensuring high quality using quality standards; measuring sales loss and performing root cause analysis; publishing results; and developing future prevention plan.• Develops and executes technical software development strategy for ecommerce applications and systems using current business roadmap by analyzing competitive trends and patterns; analyzing the technology landscape; evaluating short and long term implications; and communicating strategies and change initiatives clearly.• Drives continuous process improvement and innovation by identifying inefficiencies in current processes; improving agility of the team; and adopting industry trends for innovation.• Ensures product quality by developing and executing quality assurance plan; using data and experience to determine customer needs; directing continuous improvement and eliminating non-value-added work; measuring milestones for quality; and developing mitigation plans to ensure quality.• Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.• Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting,selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.• Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.• Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leadingkey community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.• Effectively translating requirements into project parameters while working with agility from cradle to grave.• Helping cross-functional teams to solve for business problems and develop solutions that enable us to redefine a "best-in-class" customer experience.• Encouraging the project teams that you oversee to work collaboratively and to aim for insight-driven outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications: • Cloud experience: Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, micro-services architectures (REST), event-based architecture (JMS, Kafka, Active MQ, etc).• Databases: relational (SQL server, Databricks), NoSQL document storage (Cosmos, Cassandra, etc.)• Development tools: Intellij, Spring STS, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Grunt, looper, automation pipelines, sonar, hygeia• Programming: Java, Spring Framework, JPA/Hibernate framework, Python
