Job Summary:
The Threat Intelligence Engineer (TIE) will work closely with our Regional Sales Manager based in Australia on a day-to-day basis and global engineering and sales teams to provide innovative cyber-threat security solutions that enhance the way our customers defend their networks.
Responsibilities:
In the position of a TIE the employee’s duties will include, among others:
- Building and fostering relationships with partners and customers
- Possessing presentation-ready knowledge and product expertise on all ThreatQ configurations
- Articulating and demonstrating ThreatQ solutions, and positioning products relative to competition through presentations and/or conference call discussions to architectural groups, major lines of business, and C-Level executive
- During the qualifying process, confirming that ThreatQ solutions meet the prospect’s requirements and assisting sales in technical qualification
- Actively delivering presentations at high level speaking engagements at seminars and trade shows
- Relating to a wide range of technical staff and managers in customer environments
In addition to local travel in Australia, the TIE may be required to travel in the region and occasionally visit ThreatQuotient’s offices located in the US.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a comparable pre-sales position supporting the sales cycle in Enterprise Networking or IT Security solutions or 5+ years supporting an Enterprise Threat Intelligence effort or comparable security operations.
- In-depth knowledge of overall security industry trends, products and solutions, IT governance, risk management and compliance requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present effectively in front of large groups, both technically and non-technically oriented. Also requires ability to understand business problems of C-level executives; discuss these problems; present and prepare solutions.
- Experience developing applications or integrations using Python.
- Ability to perform both independently and collaboratively as a strong team member
- Experience supporting and working closely with a pre-sales and sales organization
- Strategic approach to technical selling with a professional understanding of customer expectations
- Knowledgeable in one or more of the following: IDS/IPS, NGFW, NSM, SIEM, HBSS, etc.
- Experience of administering Unix/Linux systems and have a thorough understanding of network security
- Highly motivated self-starter that does not need day-to-day management
- Ability to travel between 50% - 75%
Education: A Bachelors level degree or equivalent technical qualification
