The Test Tools Coordinator is overall responsible for defining and ensuring the maturity of the test environment and infrastructure for the SW Test, System Test, System Integration Test, HIL, DV/PV and InVehicle Test according to the project expectations and within the defined budget

Your challenges?
  • The Test Tools Coordinator is overall responsible for defining and ensuring the maturity of the test environment and infrastructure for the SW Test, System Test, System Integration Test, HIL, DV/PV and InVehicle Test according to the project expectations and within the defined budget
  • The Test Tools Coordinator ensures that the maturity of the delivered tools for: SW Test, System Test, System Integration Test, HIL, DV/PV and InVehicle Test is aligned with the project expectations
  • The Test Tools Coordinator ensures proper communication between tool developer team and all other R&D teams
  • The Test Tools Coordinator defines timeline and resources needed to fulfill toolchain requirements
  • The Test Tools Coordinator ensures the design of the Test Environment for Software and System Levels.
  • The Test Tools Coordinator ensures the robustness of the tools.
  • The Test Tools Coordinator ensures that toolchain aligns with Valeo's standard test software architecture and development processes.
  • The Test Tools Coordinator reviews customer and internal test tool requirements.
  • The Test Tools Coordinator participates on the complete process of tester architecture definition and HW integration
  • The Test Tools Coordinator participates in technology / supplier / test tool selection for new projects. Keep up to date with new Standards in the Industry and the latest technologies and features.
  • The Test Tools Coordinator contributes to continuous improvements in process and test methodologies.
  • The Test Tools Coordinator is skilled on the framework used for the development of the tool chain.
  • The Test Tools Coordinator documents of implemented solutions according to Valeo Standard
  • The Test Tools Coordinator shall support 60% of his time with lead/organization of tool chain definition/procurement, 30% with tools development and 10% with continuous improvement topics

  • Ability to work autonomously, and organise task priorities to meet project objectives.
  • Strong analytical and technical documentation skills.
  • High degree of innovation and a mindset of continuous learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO26262/ISO15504/SPICE an advantage.
  • Review/approve (peer) test environment.
  • Request all inputs necessary to fulfill the responsibilities.


Let's talk about you
  • A relevant Technical Engineering Degree e.g. Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
  • Five years of combined experience in development of testing tools for the following areas: SW Test, System Test, System Integration Test, HIL, DV/PV and InVehicle Test.
  • Five years of combined experience in test tool frameworks as: Labview, CANOE, DSPACE or similar framework used for development of test tools.
  • Proven experience with automotive communication protocols capable to use HW and SW tools from suppliers like Vector, Intrepid, National Instruments.
  • Proven experience with R&D scope, product development and V cycle.
  • Proven experience with requirements engineering and design tools like: DOORS, COREALM, SVN or similars
  • Experience with ADAS products is a plus
  • Experience with AUTOSAR is an advantage
  • Familiar with digital hardware and communications protocols (e.g. LVDS, I2C, PCIe, SPI, UART)
  • Quality oriented engineering attitude, understanding of software development process
  • Good knowledge of embedded software and system
  • Good knowledge of Software Design
  • Expert knowledge in automation
  • Ability to document comprehensively and concisely
  • Knowledge of problem resolution management tool (e.g. TeamForge)
  • Knowledge of configuration management
