Test RD Engineer
Job Description
In this position you will be responsible for designing and developing of our next generation Test and Burn-in hardware to support Intel's high volume manufacturing needs. You will also work with our division partners and suppliers to develop cutting edge test technology to meet the ever-growing product demands.
In detail, the responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- Design, Debug and hardware acceptance of Printed Circuit Board electrical systems for Intel package test.
- Developing methodology and metrology for assessing capability of electrical systems and components on printed circuit boards.
- Perform simulations (signal integrity and power delivery) and measurements of these systems and technology to develop and validate design rules
- Path-finding through test strategy development.
- Electrical and mechanical qualification of components built by PCB house.
- Write purchase specifications, reviewing and ratifying designs, performing hands on qualification, designing and executing experiments, performing inspections, reliability testing, statistical analysis, final technical assessment and/or reporting, and communication of experimental results and risks.
- Interface with internal groups, factory customers as well as external suppliers.
- Responsible for RF topology selection and design, RF system analysis, RF system block characterization and specification
- Operate radio frequency test equipment and are responsible for the design of RF circuits per specifications, simulations and analysis of RF circuits, understanding of analog circuits, characterization of board of chip layout requirements
- Meet production quality and reliability requirements.
- Working closely with Japan, Korea, Singapore, US design, fab and assembly house.
- Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.

Qualifications
Minimal Qualifications:
- BS with 6+ years experience, MS with 4+ years experience, PhD with 2+ years experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering fields
Preferred Qualifications:
- IC Test experience or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of Digital, Analog, Mixed signal, high speed testing, tester hardware design.
- Background in ATE testing, test methodology, electronics design, or product development.
- Experience with design and debugging of circuit boards.
- Programming skills with scripting language such as Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
