An exciting opportunity exists for a TEST ENGINEER to join a global medical technology company committed to the promise of digital surgery. Surgalign is an emerging medical technology leader; first in the spine industry, tripling the business over the past five years; and now we are building out our digital surgery platform. We are advancing the science of spine care, focused on delivering innovative solutions that drive superior clinical outcomes. We do this with a broad portfolio of spinal hardware devices and orthobiologic materials. We are investing to be a leader in developing and harnessing the incredible possibilities of digital surgery to redefine the very idea of "personalized medicine."

About the Role:

The TEST ENGINEER will assist with creating test cases, executing tests, and providing test reports for our medical device products.

What You'll Do for Us:
  • Create and execute manual tests for cloud software
  • Collate test results and present reports on testing protocols
  • Review draft test cases and provide feedback
  • Create accurate, detailed software defect reports
  • Follow Agile processes including, scrum ceremonies, sprint-based testing, and continuous improvement
  • Provide status to stakeholders on accessing overall progress and completion of testing tasks and software quality
  • Partner with the development team to identify the testing approaches for new software development, enhancements, and bug fixes
  • Participate in environment readiness testing
  • Participate in software requirements and design reviews
  • Create and review documentation required for testing medical devices
  • Assist with system integration testing


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Experience writing test cases and test planning
  • Understanding of software tools; Azure DevOps, Test Asset Management software, Git.
  • Excellent communication skills

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical subject area
  • Minimum 2-5 years of industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Medical Device testing experience
