Job Description

Torch technologies is seeking a Test Engineer who will assist in the processing of Missile Defense System (MDS) data (e.g., missile threat data, Radar Cross Section (RCS) data, Infrared (IR) data, Environmental data, Cloud Object Debris (COD) and Kinetic Impact Debris Distribution (KIDD)) and incorporating it into the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Objective Simulation Framework (OSF). OSF is used to integrate this data into configurations used to support MDA MDS interoperability and performance testing and checkout using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and Digital Simulations.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical related field and minimum 2 years experience
• Translate test requirements (e.g., Scenario Matrix) into Framework configuration settings.
• Collaborate with Configuration Management (CM), test lab personnel, test conductors and Event Mission Managers (EMMs), and other MDA stakeholders to ensure the delivered product meets the customer's needs.
• Diagnose complex issues, evaluate, recommend, and execute the best resolution.
• Develop, modify, enhance, and implement test plans designed to support new or existing business initiatives.
• Identify improvement opportunities (process / tools / duplication) and work with cross-functional teams to bring in testing efficiencies.
• Manage test cases and testing cycles
• Define and track quality assurance metrics, reporting test results and test status back to the team
• Ability to track multiple assignments, adapt to requirements changes, and meet deadlines
• The ability to work with or learn to use and operate a MDA test frame work to

• 2 years of Linux/Unix and Office Applications (Linux/Unix and Windows)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance
• Willingness to support some overtime and/or off-shift hours during events.
• Willingness to adapt work schedule to tight event timelines as necessary.

Preferred Experience:

• Radar System data analysis
• Ability to write scripts or code using C++, R, Perl, Python and Java
• Experience with data reduction and analysis tool such as MATLAB
• Experience in the Missile Defense Agency and with Missile Defense Systems
• Active Secret clearance
