Test Engineer, Mid
Key Role:

Develop and document test procedures, perform the tests and provide the results to the Government. Design test procedures that describe the proposed tests and inspections in sufficient depth to prove that equipment or system are thoroughly evaluated for conformance to the requirements of equipment and system specifications. C ond uct tests for workmanship, all environmental factors, maintainability, reliability, connectivity, availability, supportability, and final inspections, as defined in system or equipment specifications. Develop and document a System Operability Verification Test ( SOVT ) Planning and Execution Guide ( SPEG ) , compliant SOVT package, perform the SOVT testing, and provide the results to the Government. Ensure the SOVT has a satisfactory operation, availability and readiness after integration or installation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience designing, executing and documenting test cases for Navy IT Systems
  • Experience developing test strategies, including Developmental Test ( DT ) and Operational Tests ( OT ) in laboratory and field environments
  • Experience with the development of evaluation requirements and asso cia ted data collection requirements
  • Experience in developing, documenting, and executing test plans, test cases, observations, analysis, incident reporting, and test reports
  • Experience authoring System Operability Verification Test ( SOVT ) documents and SOVT Preparation and Execution Guide ( SPEG )
  • Knowledge of Test and Evaluation ( T & E ) through DoDi 5000, DoD Cybersecurity T & E Handbook
  • Knowledge of the development of Test and Evaluation Strategy ( TES ) and Test and Evaluation Master Plans ( TEMPs ) for highly integrated, a system of systems, and sof tware-intensive solutions
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in the te chn ical design, set-up, configuration, instrumentation, operation and data collection including the development of CI / CD pipelines and asso cia ted automation and orchestration
  • Experience in facilitating and documenting test coordination, readiness review, incident adjudication, and after-action reviews
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
