The IT Tech Analyst for the Consumer Digital Team will create, maintain, execute automation scripts for applications, and performing manual testing where required.

Detailed Description:

This role is an entry level role, requiring the individual to have an aptitude to learn or a proficiency in manual testing, test automation tools, functional testing, regression testing, integration testing and understanding of TDD and ATDD. This role will translate functional requirements/design specifications into quality automated test cases.

To be successful the candidate must be driven and well-organized, have strong learning and training abilities, self-motivated and tenacious, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks to agreed schedules.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and translate functional requirements to create and execute test cases for large business initiatives. Automate and execute these test cases on regular basis
  • Create and maintain test cases and test data using industry standard test automation tools
  • Participate in the analysis and review of epics, features, and user stories
  • Participate in the design and review of technical design of component software features
  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo/Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement
  • Write, review, and maintain the automation test scripts in test automation tools
  • Identify as many defects as possible to deliver a quality product to our client
  • Perform all aspects of verification, including integration testing, functional testing, and regression testing
  • Perform manual testing as needed
  • Develop and implement well-defined test plans
  • Manage defect tracking and provide informative updates as requested
  • Facilitate defect management meetings as requested
  • Participate in production validation and support as needed
  • Comply with Huntington's standards related to testing strategies and procedures



Basic Qualifications:

  • 1 year of development experience with industry standard testing/development and quality assurance methodologies and validation with a bachelor's degree (Computer Science, CIS, Management Information, or Engineering) or equivalent transferable experience through coursework, internships, or work experience in lieu of participation in the Elevate Program



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Object-Oriented programming languages
  • Experience with APIs or MicroServices
  • Understanding of defect tracking, document management, and knowledge base systems
  • Strong technical skills and a good understanding of software development principles
  • Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand business and software solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Technical writing capability
  • Ability to translate technology into relatable concepts for business partners and stakeholders
  • Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and to work collaboratively with all business and IT areas
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • High level of professionalism, confidence, and ability to build credibility with team members and business partners
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Experience with mobile emulation platform (Perfecto)
  • Experience in the Financial industry is a plus
  • Understanding of ATDD & TDD
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Experience with Ruby or Jenkins
