What you'll be able to do:
The Technical Software Engineer is part of FCSD [Ford Customer Service Division] IT - SEO [Service Engineering Operations] Recall Management Product Line which is focused on Global Products / Solutions containing core information related to managing Field Service Actions/Recalls for Ford Vehicles.

The core solutions / products include GCAMP [Global Campaign], FSAVL [Field Service Action - VIN List]. The data from these products is critical for our Recall Coordinators, Dealers Technicians and flows to multiple downstream applications to support key business processes. This position is for a PDO Technical Software Engineer to develop, modernization support of Recall Products. This position will also need to collaborate closely with the other Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure alignment of the product line vision, strategy, and roadmap for products.The minimum requirements we seek:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer applications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive IT Experience
  • 8+ years of IT development experience using web technologies including Angular 12, Java, Spring Boot and RESTful services, Spring Framework, and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, Viktorops, etc to perform duties.
  • 8+ years of Prior Experience in FCSD / MSS ecosystem, particularly Recall Management business area.
Our preferred requirements:
  • Mainframe DB2 Knowledge
  • Experience using Alteryx workflow tool
  • Knowledge on GCP APIGEE webservices
  • Prior Experience in FCSD / MSS ecosystem, particularly Recall Management business area.
  • Deep understanding of recall products including product roadmaps, KPIs, OKRs, CSFs
  • Strong technical background (web based) in software development digital ecosystem architecture.
  • Collaborate with Feature Architects and Product Teams to build product features.
  • Strong agile delivery and experience with backlog management tools, and release/dependency management.
  • Excellent relationship collaboration skills across geographies.
  • Experience and Knowledge of Ford IT Solution Delivery Methodology ITSM processes and tools
  • Use Angular, SQL Server, Cloud Services, DevOps tools, Java/JEE technologies,
  • Create and maintain technical design and other artifacts for the product
