Job summary
The Red Hat Partner Ecosystem team is looking for a Technical Architect to join us and assist integrated service vendor (ISV) partners to transition their applications to a hybrid or multi cloud platform. In this role, you will ensure that our ISV technical partners are successful with Red Hat's portfolio of products and application platform strategies. This is a technical partner-facing role which works directly with counterparts who are responsible for the delivery of ISV applications integrating with the Red Hat platform. You will work across Red Hat's business units, partner engagement, and engineering teams, as well as account and program owners to execute technical adoption leading to certification of partner solutions and products. To succeed in this role, you need to have a deep understanding of and relationships in the software, cloud, and technology industry and be able to work in a very matrixed environment, with the ability to increase excellent results. You should be passionate about open source software and have an understanding of key industry trends, technologies, and approaches. An understanding of the developer and application builder mindset, with a focus on ISVs and companies who are creating commercially distributed applications and solutions is essential. Great communication, presentation, and one-to-one skills are required as well as a willingness to collaborate internally and externally among many varied roles and personas to help achieve technical and business related goals. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Work with strategic ISV partners in one to one and group settings to technically align, build (including proof of concept stage), and certify their applications on the Red Hat platform with an emphasis on hybrid cloud
  • Conduct architectural reviews with partners to identify integration opportunities that increase the value of a combined solution
  • Collaborate with partner teams to create content that captures the value of the Red Hat platform and partner application integration opportunities
  • Capture and communicate partner input and feedback; offering actionable analysis to program and business units
  • Review technical collateral that helps to capture benefits of certified products and solutions
  • Be familiar with and continuously assess the industry and competitive landscape to identify strengths and weaknesses in the Red Hat portfolio when assisting partners in their platform choices
  • Represent Red Hat's technology partner program at industry events


Required skills

  • Practical experience with Kubernetes and containers technologies
  • Knowledge of Golang programming language and several years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system
  • Familiarity with networking and storage
  • Experience with field engineering and consulting
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and Git control system
  • Experience in developer tools, languages, services, and processes
  • Enthusiastic about working face-to-face with partners and customers
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 60%


The following skills are considered a plus:

  • Familiarity with the Kubernetes Operators and Operator Framework project
  • Experience with the Ansible tool
  • Knowledge of Helm for Kubernetes
  • Experience with Java, Scala, Python, and JavaScript
  • Ability and willingness to present to the public
