Our Rebellion:

Rebellion Defense builds mission-focused AI products for the defense and security of the United States, the United Kingdom, and our allies. We are a well capitalized, venture-backed technology company that creates software which transforms data into decision advantage.

Our people are passionate about creating a company where technologists empower our military and civil servants to solve some of the hardest problems in government. Rebellion Defense is driven by our mission — but a set of core values binds us together: we hire by them, operate through them, and uphold them in every decision we make for ourselves and for our customers.

Your Rebel Team

Customer Engagement:

Customer Engagement aligns the entire customer experience with the aim of increasing revenue by making it easy for customers to understand our products and how they integrate with existing customers’ systems. We focus on short-term results and long-term strategies to create sustainable growth through a user-centered approach to business. Our CE team is supported by the following functions:

  • Sales
  • Contracting and Acquisition Support
  • Proposal + Technical Writing
  • Sales Operations

This role reports to the Senior Technical Architect in Customer Engagement, Clint Green.

How you’ll make a difference in this role:

We are seeking technical architects to join the Rebellion team. These technology leaders will be key to building Rebellion’s business in various segments of the defense and national security market. Translating the demands of our customers’ unique mission and environment, Rebellion’s technical architects are instrumental to ensuring we deliver next-generation AI-enabled software products to the U.S. Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and the U.K. Defense and National Security ecosystem. If working on national security problems—alongside some of the most talented technologists, government leaders, and acquisition strategists—excites you, we want to talk.

Technical architects are responsible for the interface between the customer’s technical challenges, and the Rebellion solutions developed to take them on.  They deeply understand our customers, their mission, and their challenges. They partner with Account Executives to engage with the customer community, qualify and scope new opportunities, and provide internal technical leadership in communicating and prioritizing our customers’ mission requirements

Success in this role requires keeping up with our customer’s evolving needs, understanding the unique requirements of their mission and environment, and technical proficiency with Rebellion’s solutions.

What your mission is:

  • Facilitate technical exchanges with existing and future Rebellion customers, connecting our capabilities with their mission needs, presenting Rebellion technical solutions and innovative vision.
  • Manage and maintain technical relationships with customers from first meetings and educational outreach, through deployment, working with the Product Engineering and Mission Success teams to ensure customer success.
  • Developing and maintaining deep and enduring customer relationships. You’ll be spending most of your time outside of the office building relationships across the defense and national security market that will underpin our business.
  • Accessing the users and data we need to build top-tier technology. Our focus is on building best-in-class software for warfighters. You help make that happen by ensuring our engineers have access to the inputs they need.
  • Exploring product possibilities. You will listen to existing and potential customers, and create tight feedback loops with our product and engineering organizations.
  • Building the Rebellion. We are a fresh, fast, flat organization. Each of us comes to this mission with an eclectic set of experiences. But we are all here for one reason: to enable warfighters with world-class software that in turn builds Rebellion.

You may be fit for this role if your expertise aligns to:

  • Have several years of demonstrated experience in customer-facing/pre-sales technical roles focused on DoD and national security customers. Understanding the mission, and how the customer faces their challenges, is key.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the technologies in use by our customers today, such as SaaS architectures, AIML approaches, and complex data processing pipelines.
  • Comfortable discussing, and overcoming, the challenges present in our customer environments, from access control and security clearances to contract and acquisition processes.
  • Are intellectually curious. Whoever learns the fastest wins. Rebellion is a generative, learning environment. We help defense clients learn how modern software can advance their mission, which means we are always learning ourselves. If you lead with advice rather than curiosity, this likely won't be a good fit.
  • Are passionate about what’s possible. Where others see roadblocks, you see opportunity. You turn a mundane conversation into a brilliant brainstorm.
  • Embrace the concept of team and play well with others. You know you can’t go it alone. You have a deep appreciation for the talents, temperaments, and convictions of others.

The Nature of our Work:

We are driving fast change to an extremely regulated industry. Many of the national security programs that are supported by Rebellion’s products operate in secure environments and access to those spaces and the data in them may require an active personnel security clearance. It is a requirement of this position that you are able to obtain and hold a personnel security clearance at the right level.
