Role Purpose

Responsible for complex systems process analysis, design, and simulation. Has central responsibility for key design decisions affecting multiple systems under simultaneous development. Responsible for ensuring specific component designs adhere to the architectural standards established for the systems under development. Responsible for the implementation of the designs; therefore the designs must have practical applicability. Leads staff employees on a regular basis, but is not the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical direction and oversight to application development staff in defining technical architecture to meet requirements and provide maximum stability and system performance.
• Leads design and code reviews of development staff to ensure quality, consistency with architectural design, maintainability, and industry best practices.
• Rapidly synthesize information about emerging technologies and how they may be applicable in BJC's environment and the benefit they provide.
• Identifies weaknesses in current infrastructure/system architecture and leads the team in resolving and implementing the solution.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5-10 years of experience
