Job Description:
Key contributor in creation, development and management of systems engineering activities. Interfaces with business areas to ensure all initiatives support business strategies and goals. Supervises, guides and provides technical support and training to the engineering staff and assists the Tech Mgr in the review and evaluation of the work of the staff, planning, organizing and controlling the activities of the section and in the development of the overall project plans and timetables. Responsible for staffing, performance management and compensation decision making. Typically 7-10 years of systems engineering experience.

Required Skills:

  • 7-10 years in Information Technology
  • Network operations delivery and/or technology management experience, or IBM mainframe network (Communication Server) experience
  • Experience leading medium to large projects
  • Must be proficient with problem determination, analysis, and resolution
  • Good written and verbal communication skills


Desired Skills:

  • Information Technology degree and/or technology certifications
  • Knowledge of IBM zEnterprise server hardware
  • Knowledge of z/VM and/or Linux on Z
  • Knowledge in Assembler, REXX, and/or SAS programming
  • Knowledge of encryption technologies and certificate management
  • Knowledge in NetView configurations and CLIST coding
