The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst within Retail Risk Technology (RRT) is Assistant Vice President position and will own the end-to-end processes surrounding RRT's Tableau reporting on Big Data or non-Big Data environments for the Retail Risk business. This technology is increasingly leveraged by Retail Risk and other corporate teams to meet critical business and regulatory requirements.

The incumbent will closely interact with the Retail Risk business, other application developers and enterprise wide technology stakeholders responsible for related processes, and will excel in organization, program management, problem solving and guiding partner understanding with strong communication. RRT develops within the Global Functions Technology (GFT) organization. We are looking for a person who promotes challenge the status quo but considers all options and drives consensus with multiple stakeholders and to lead adoption of new technologies. The successful candidate will be comfortable thinking strategically at a high level and diving deep in pursuit of solving Retail Risk business and technology problems to move the bank forward; and provide support to team members in development of technical, leadership and other professional skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in creating different data sources for data model involving different underlying databases like Oracle, Big Data and Hyper files.
  • Well Versed in performance tuning and enhancement of data sources and dashboards.
  • Create interactive filters, parameters and calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau. Build and publish interactive dashboards on Tableau Server.
  • In-depth understanding of dashboard level security and row level security of data source and dashboard.
  • Hands on experience in the component like Tableau Prep and other Tableau add ons.
  • Good understanding of Tableau working principle, services and cluster. Expertise in Tableau licensing.
  • Exposure to database concepts like relationship, cardinality and simple database queries.
  • Engage in administration tasks such as publishing workbooks, setting permissions, managing ownerships, providing access to the users and adding them to the specific group and scheduled instances for reports in Tableau Server.
  • Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems



Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years overall experience and at least six years of experience designing and developing business intelligence dashboards using Tableau.
  • Expertise in systems analysis, programming of software applications and implementing successful projects
  • Experience working with large and complex data set, able to write queries.
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects and flexibility to change priorities when needed.



Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
