4M Research is seeking a MIssile Defense Systems/Modeling Engineer with Python for our team in Huntsville, AL.

The successful candidate will:

Act as a subject matter expert in the four main threat model characteristic verification and validation (V&V) analysis areas (i.e., kinematics, RCS, EO/IR, and IR plumes) The task is to review / assess threat V&V documentation and perform ground test framework threat implementation verification analysis. This work will also include coordination with the MDS OTA threat analysis team on modeling issues, to include debris representations.

The candidate will also support software development activities to create tools to extract / process / compare logged threat data usage to referent sources, helping streamline the process for maximum automation efficiency. In addition, he / she will coordinate with MDS elements on their threat implementation evidence to ensure sufficient V&V data is provided to demonstrate adherence to stated internal threat handling procedures. As an ancillary activity, the candidate will support, as needed, structural validation analysis of core truth models (CTM), which include environmental effects and their impact on threat truth stimuli. Ability to develop analysis tools in Python is desired.

Requirements:

• Ability to comply with all laws and regulations including those concerning the COVID 19 vaccination mandate
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM Field with 3-10 years experience
• Background in either missile defense threat modeling, MDA flight test target modeling, or MDA interceptor modeling
• Active Secret clearance
• Experience with developing analysis tools in Python
