Job Responsibilities

• As a member of Viasat's fast paced production test engineering team, you will develop test solutions for a variety of Viasat products and services.
• Test solutions vary across RF/Microwave technologies, Power/Digital circuitry, Peripheral interfaces (GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi), and software/firmware/certificate configuration management.
• Projects will support both (1) lab-environment design verification/integration/characterization and (2) factory-environment production test.
• Assignments will also include the sustainment and continuous improvement of deployed assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with RF systems test and integration.
• Well versed in the use of modern RF test equipment.
• 2 years minimum experience in a product testing role.
• Experience creating test requirements and specifications.
• US citizenship required

Preferences

• Proficiency with programming in LabVIEW and/or TestStand.
• Proficiency with programming in Python, C#, or C/C++.
• Possess a good understanding of RF technology.
• Operational knowledge of amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, and transceivers.
• Skilled in test automation and design of production test equipment for RF products.
• Experience leading engineers or technicians.
• Working knowledge of RF amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, and transceivers.
• Working knowledge of wafer probe and wave guide mechanics.
• Capable of creating test documentation and test strategies for systems, subsystems, and component level testing.
• Proficiency with test equipment such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal analyzers, power meters, digital signal generators and noise figure meters.

For United States-based jobs only: The pay range for this position is $85850 to $142600 annually; however, base pay may vary within this range depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
