Systems Security Engineer
Key Role:
Develop and implement security solutions in alignment with security strategy. Maintain an awareness of market and technology trends in order to bring best of breed solutions to the client. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems, and create, process, and test documentation for Endpoint Security Suite (ESS). Provide guidance on procurement of hardware and software requirements for ESS SIPR connections. Work with system administrators to create and document inbound and outbound firewall rules. Work with network engineers to create a network diagram related to ESS connection. Analyze policies for HIPS firewall, HIPS application to include whitelist and prevention exclusions.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with IT system administration or cybersecurity
- 3+ years of experience as a system administrator, including working to resolve user issues and ensuring tools are fully operational
- Experience with supporting DoD clients
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ CE Certification
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with UNIX or Linux systems
- Experience with DoD policies, procedures, and protocols
- Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Experience with HBSS ePO server administration
- Ability to implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Possession of excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- TS/SCI clearance
