Job Description

The Systems Engineering Bootcamp Technical Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering content which contributes to educating and developing new hire Systems Engineers. The Technical Trainer reports to the Sr Manager of Global Training Delivery. All candidates are expected to have recent relevant Systems Engineering and/or training experience. This role is responsible for partnering with SE Academy leadership to align curriculum to the development of new Systems Engineers. 

Your Impact 

  • Understand the cybersecurity market and relevant technologies

  • Content training development and delivery 

  • Curate from multiple sources to create learning paths specifically that challenge SEs to develop skills 

  • Host online, live instructor-led, hands-on labs targeted for the SE Academy 

  • Recruit and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop new materials and labs 

  • Assemble and coordinate with internal teams which include Product Managers, Technical Marketing Engineers, Consulting Engineers, and Systems Engineers, to create enablement courses from multiple views 

  • Collaborate with SE leaders to deliver engaging and relevant trainings 

  • Leverage data and metrics to correlate program participation, making course corrections as needed to ensure desired results are achieved 

  • Drive application of technical sales knowledge, skills, and best practices to increase productivity 

  • Comfortable utilizing a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of salesforce 

  • Develop and maintain productivity assessments and reporting for SE leadership

Your Experience 

  • Experience as a Technical Trainer, Systems Engineer and/or SE Manager 

  • Experience with tools regularly employed in the course of performing as an SE 

  • Experience with complex security technical selling process

  • Experience with demonstration lab tools and environments

  • Experience with hands-on-labs for the sake of technical learning 

  • Understand the cybersecurity market and relevant business drivers 

  • Experience with complex security sales cycles: portfolio or platform offerings 

  • Experience with delivering training and enablement in a technology sales environment to help teams better sell broadly into accounts, access and aggregate disparate technology owners, gain consensus with diverse stakeholders, etc. 

  • Ability to apply technical differentiators and insights to support teams in competitive positioning with customers 

  • Highly motivated, energetic, collaborative, self-starter who demonstrates leadership, adaptability, flexibility, and integrity

Disclosure required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum compensation (includes on-target earnings = base + on target incentives for sales roles) for this role to be located in the state of Colorado. If hired in Colorado, this position starts at $127,300/yr. Depending on the position offered, restricted stock units and incentive or bonus pay may be provided as part of this compensation package.
