Systems Consultant
Qualification:

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Participate and contribute to the various brain storming sessions involved right from the proposal stage to understand the system requirements and the scope of the project.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Derive Product Requirements Specification from Voice Of Customer & Voice Of Business.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Dissect the complete system in to sub systems and gather necessary message schemas and understand various input / output interface requirements.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 List down the list of peripherals involved as part of sub systems and bringout the communication channels involved.
Resource/ Efforts Estimation and Monitoring:
  • Develop technical resourcing plan for people resourcing and other infrastructure needs for technical solutions for projects or RFPs etc.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Understand how the estimation (effort size etc) is done at sub system / task level for the work package or RFP.
  • Prepare WBS or any other estimation methods and arrive at effort estimation & scheduling.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Keep a close track on any changes to Requirements and impact to cost and schedule.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Identificaton of risks at every logical stage of the project.
  • this is required from C20 & Product Engineering perspective.
System Design:
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 As is Study of existing system for any Re Engineering / Enhancement projects.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Prepare System / Sub System design related technical specifications.
  • identify areas that are prone to requiremments change and work on the probable design for flexibility.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Perform Design reviews both system and sub system level.
  • Shall provide design improvements keeping the interfaces / IO limitations that would hamper the project progress.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Raise technical queries and seek information / resolution within the team or try to liase with other technical forums that are available.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Provide required support to develop the proof of concept.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Create detailed design.
  • provide input to the Project Manager / Tech Lead for revision of the project plan from a technical perspective or creating of plan for sub modules of the project.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Conceive POCs / Demos to provide confidence to customer and elucidite the same during initial stages of talks with the customer and provide support in development of proof of concept as designed by Designer / Solution Architect.
  • initiate development environment setup.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Provide demo to customer for early feedback.
  • create quality check points for all deliverables.
  • create design documents with the support of the architects for the assigned scope.
Testing & Defect Management:
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Strategizing the test setup / environment.
  • Scoping in or out for various sub system level testing.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Analysing the defects and provide technical summary to the customer interfaces or other stake holders.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Taking care of technical contentions and resolve issues by isolating the stresms (between Software Hardware Firmware).
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Support all upstream and downstream systems for integration and connectivity testing.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Participate in defect triage meetings.
  • conduct RCA for defects identified.
  • rework on the System / Sub system level dissection based on review comments defects raised in unit testing peer testing performance testing SIT UAT testing or any other relevant testing phases.
Innovation & Process Improvements / Adherence:
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Initiate / Conduct / Participate in innovation fairs / themes / sessions to generate ideas for technological improvements and come up with POCs for customer pain points.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Implement process improvements to reduce manual intervention (eg automation).
  • provide support for process audit activities.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Generate ideas to bring about any form of value add and share the same with Tech Lead.
  • adhere to process and tools (usage of cognizant 20.
  • awareness of quality management system IDE etc).
Knowledge Management:
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Contribute towards updating knowledge assets user manual Technical brochures Business Development decks Service Offerings.
  • Handling RFI / RFP / RFQs.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for new hires in the project team.
  • conduct training through academy (if approved).
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Guide and mentor team members from a technical perspective to ensure quality improvement.
  • contribute to / search / reuse all types of assets from repository.
People management:
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Engage with the team.
  • resolve / address conflict within the team.
  • provide coaching to team members (eg coaching and mentoring of ELTs) and develop their capability.
  • \u00E2\u20AC\u00A2 Conduct internal trainings for developers within team.
